Lagos: Murtala Muhammed International Airport
Murtala Muhammed International Airport is the busiest airport in Nigeria and serves the former capital and largest city of Lagos and the South West of the country, as well as being Nigeria’s major international gateway airport. After several years when it was considered too dangerous to fly to direct by several European and American airlines and aviation authorities, its reputation has improved with the return of democracy to Nigeria in 1999.
Location
Murtala Muhammed International Airport is located in the suburb of Ikeja, approximately 16 km (10 miles) north-north-west of the city centre.

Facilities for disabled people
The Terminal 1 website makes no mention of facilities for disabled travellers that we were able to find. The consensus of other travel-related websites seems to be that facilities are limited or very limited.
Terminal 2’s website states that the terminal offers easy access for disabled passengers, including buggies, wheelchairs and accessible lifts and toilets.
Disabled travellers are advised to check with their airline or travel agent well before travelling to enquire about what special arrangements may be made for passing through Murtala Muhammed Airport.
